The AAAHC has been accrediting surgical facilities since 1979 and holds more than 5,000 accredited facilities to high standards for patient care and safety. When looking for a plastic surgeon, it is highly recommended that you choose a surgeon who operates in an AAAHC-accredited facility. For most surgeons to receive board certifications, they must operate in accredited facilities only.
